Roadmap for Implementation

Six phases to scholarly maturity

  1. 1

    Platform setup

    Complete

Set up the issue-based collection on PubPub at https://case.pubpub.org and prepare the editorial workflow.

  2. 2

    Inaugural Call for Assignments

    Active

Launch the first open call for Vol 1, Issue 1 (Jul 2026) with the standardized C.A.S.E. template.

  3. 3

    ISSN registration

    Planned

Register the series for an ISSN to formalize C.A.S.E. as an official serial publication.

  4. 4

    Automated submission portal

    Planned

Establish an automated submission portal accepting standardized templates end-to-end.

  5. 5

    Inaugural issue publication

    Planned

Publish Vol 1, Issue 1 on PubPub with full Crossref DOI deposition for every accepted assignment.

  6. 6

    Annual review board

    Planned

Establish an annual review board to select 'Best-of' papers for CFSBR Case Studies: The C.A.S.E. Journal.

Annual "Best-of"

From bi-monthly contribution to peer-reviewed prestige.

Each year, an annual review board curates the strongest papers from the six bi-monthly C.A.S.E. issues. Selected works are invited forward into CFSBR Case Studies: The C.A.S.E. Journal, the peer-reviewed premium edition. ISSN registration and major-index inclusion are goals being pursued over time, not current claims.
